Theme : Quarrying - Essential Element in National Development
Venue : Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Date : 19 & 20 August, 2002
The Quarrying Industry plays an important role in supporting Malaysia's development goals. The astonishing progress in Malaysian economy especially in the manufacturing, construction and other mega infrastructural projects shows that there would be a continuous demand for quarry products in the years to come.
Thus, the quarry fraternity needs to be vigilant so as to ensure that the needs of this sector are being satisfied. Due to the high level of demand, the extractive industry has long been the key foundation of national development and will meet great challenges in this new millennium.
In recognition of this importance, the institute of Quarrying (IQM), together with Malaysia Quarries Association (MQA) and Malaysian Chamber of Mines (MCM) hosted the Kuari Malaysia - National Quarry Conference (NQC) 2002 to focus on the contributions the industry is making towards the rapid national development in Malaysia.
Kuari Malaysia - NQC 2002 was an event which offered everyone in the industry a unique opportunity to create business ties, network and be updated on the latest opportunity available. An event that gathered information, developed new ideas and viewpoints, business networking and new business ventures.
